The hotel is set in a beautiful area outside the center of Paraty and this is great for parking as in the center parking is very tricky. The room was very spacious and clean with two doors, one coming in from the garden where we parked our car and one leading to the river front where there was a terrace with a living and breakfast area. The whole environment was very pleasant and I would recommend it.

Breakfast is available until 11 am.
From the City you have to walk more than 45 min to the Pousada where some big dogs are welcoming you. To go downtown, the helpful owner recommended us to flag down a bus. Our sticky room was equipped with a fan no A/C. Take care that the fan is turning in the right direction! The TV (no cable or satellite receiver) had only 7 channels in bad quality. The bed sheets as well as the blanket were dirty and the shower curtain was moldy. Our room was not made up during the stay. Summarizing, this Pousada is heavily overpriced and the room was not at all "deluxe" - not recommendable.

As someone who recently visited this hotel, I can say that it was an amazing experience overall. One of the best aspects of my stay was the staff. They were helpful and always eager to answer any questions I had. Additionally, the hotel was very clean, which shows that the staff takes pride in keeping it maintained. The hotel was also located in a great location, making it easy to get to all of the popular spots in the city. Lastly, the breakfast was fantastic and provided a great start to my day.

Tha staff didn't speak english, but they did everything to make us feel wanted guests. For instance we had a boat trip the day we were leaving and they wanted (really didn't ask) us to have a shower and use the room untill our night bus left. This was excellent service.
Well as 2 non portuegues speaking people it was'kind of hard to get around with the staff. And the location was further off then we had expected. As we didn't have a car it was a bit trouble some. Although they offered us a ride more then once!

During my Christmas vacation, I had a nice guesthouse experience. The room was spacious and the pool was enjoyable - when it wasn't being built. The staff was friendly and helpful, which was a plus. the location was fairly easy to get in and out of, provided you have your own car.
There were a number of downsides to my stay. The cleanliness of the room was questionable on arrival and throughout my stay.

Fist of all, the people from the place, they really know how to make you fell welcome. The place is ease access is close to the historic centre, but with the opportunity to be close to the nature. The river that pass in front of the place is very nice to swim and refresh.
wireless was not available, but according to the owners, this is something that will be fixed soon.

The hotel had a friendly staff that was willing to help with anything needed. the rooms were very comfortable, with great air conditioning. the hotel was located in a very peaceful area, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The hotel was not close to the center of the city, and taxis were quite expensive. the language barrier was a little challenging since staff didn't speak English.
